He first released tracks like The Come Up and Never Cared and made his debut on SoundCloud with the mixtape OFFICIAL POLO.G SOUNDCLOUD. Gang With Me, his debut single, quickly then followed by the hit track Finer things. It was written while in prison. The song was his breakout single, and millions people watched it on YouTube. The track helped propel him to the limelight. Following a few months, major record labels began to show interest. He finally signed a distribution deal to Columbia Records and released Pop Out with Lil Tjay. Polo G's debut hit single reached the top spot on Billboard Hot 100 at number 22.
